Suresh has over 4 decades of experience across a number of industries viz. Manufacturing, IT, Pharma and Services.He has handled Sales & Marketing, Customer Services, Projects, Quality and General Management / Country Leadership in MNCs and Indian Corporates.His roles have covered pan-India operations and also some Asia-Pacific countries. He is an alumnus of BITS, Pilani, and XLRI, Jamshedpur, and a member of ISACA,USA, with accreditation in Information Systems Audit and Governance. Suresh is currently based in Bangalore, where he oversees SMCEL’s business operations.

Sanjay Trehan did his B Com (Honours) from Delhi University followed by MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur. He started his career with an Indian Company-Mekaster in 1982 before founding S M Creative Electronics Ltd with Col S D Maini in 1992. Venturing into new technologies and new customer segment has always been on his mind. With a thorough knowledge on India Telecom segment, he steered the company to develop and serve niche products to Telecom, Submarine cable network, Defense, Energy and Space sector. Under his leadership – The company has the honor to cater for versatile and technical requirements. His continuous inspiration to achieve knowledge and develop in house products for prestigious national projects has always kept the Team SMCEL motivated.
Col S.D Maini
Col Maini (11th Feb 1927 to 4th October 2023) is the cofounder of SM Creative Electronics Limited in 1992.
He followed strongly his life principle “ Life is God Gift for once. Live well and Keep your “Karma” balance sheet always positive as you never know when you need to meet the God”. He has embibed these principles throughout in nurturing of the company.
Col Maini was commissioned in Corps of EME, Indian Army in 1950. He has also been on the Board of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India as Executive Director ( Northern Units) and have been instrumental in setting up its factories in Panchkula and Kotdwara.
It was his vision and principles that has brought a telecom start up to a versatile company contributing to National Defense equipments. He was fully convinced that our humble start up is able to replace the “Military Power Converters” which were being imported from large defense houses worldwide.
SMCEL will continue to follow his principles and serving its customers with the straight path.
