The SuperStar CFM Plus-L Digital Radio System offers a compact, easy-to-deploy and cost-effective broadband wireless solution supporting high capacity data video and voice communication in Wide Area Networks (WANs), Metropolitan Area Networks (MANs), cellular networks, ISP carrier networks and corporate/campus applications. The system utilizes advanced technologies to efficiently transport high capacity payloads with fiber-like quality. Forward Error Correction (FEC) and powerful Digital Signal Processor (DSP) are implemented in the design to ensure a low residual BER (<10 -11 ) and high system performance in all weather conditions. The DSP is designed to ensure safe ATM transport (minimize ATM cell loss misinsertion)
The SuperStar CFM plus-L system operates in the 7,8,11,13,15,18,23,26,28,31,32 and 38 GHz frequency bends. Designed as a full SONET/SDH regenerator, the system provides one STM-1, DS3 Fast Ethernet (support fixed or dynamic bandwidth allocation) over 155 Mbps utilizing 28/30 MHz of spectrum. And additional 2 Mbps port supports an Ethernet (10Base-T) or E1 connection which can be used for voice applications. In a protected (1+1) configuration, two radio links are connected to provide redundancy while using the same frequency channel.
The SuperStar CFM Plus-L system consists of an in Door-Unit (DU), an Out-Door Unit (ODU), a high-performance antenna, and network management software. SuperStar's internal SNMP agent allows for easy integration with standard network management systems. Windows 95/98/2000//NT and over HP Open View platforms (Windows NT or UNIX).
